American Made Grills manufactures premium outdoor grills and cooking equipment for backyard and patio environments. The company is affiliated with Nicolock, a leading Long Island manufacturer of paving stones and outdoor living products.
We first worked with American Made Grills in 2025, installing a 6,000-square-foot seamless epoxy flake floor in its Bohemia manufacturing warehouse. After being satisfied with the appearance and performance of that floor, the company asked Total Floor Prep to install the same system in its 13,000-square-foot West Babylon facility in July 2026.
The second project brought the total area completed for American Made Grills to approximately 19,000 square feet. It is a great example of how a properly selected flooring system—and a dependable installation process—can lead to an ongoing relationship as a customer’s facilities grow and evolve.
A single-broadcast epoxy flake system provided the right balance of durability, appearance, maintainability, and cost for these manufacturing spaces. The facilities experience regular employee and equipment traffic but did not require a more specialized heavy-impact or thermal-shock-resistant flooring system.
The decorative flake broadcast also helped create a more finished, professional-looking workplace without the cost and additional installation involved with a double-broadcast system.
Why this Floor system was selected
Seamless and easy to maintain:The continuous surface eliminates grout lines and seams where dirt and debris can collect.
Multi-colored flake pattern: The blended pattern helps disguise dust, dirt, scuffs, and everyday wear between cleanings.
Improved concrete appearance: A full flake broadcast helps visually minimize minor surface variations and imperfections in the existing concrete.
Industrial polyurethane topcoat: A high-wear, abrasion-resistant polyurethane topcoat provides additional protection against regular foot traffic, carts, equipment, and manufacturing activity.
Professional facility appearance: The finished system creates a cleaner, brighter, and more organized environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
Cost-effective performance: A single-broadcast system delivers substantial functional and visual benefits without unnecessarily specifying a heavier and more expensive flooring system.
